For the very first time, Purdue Aviation Day will proudly host the A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team. Hailing from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, the Air Combat Command A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team showcases the exceptional combat capabilities of the A-10 “Warthog” at air shows nationwide.
The A-10, renowned as the Air Force’s premier close air support aircraft, plays a critical role in providing essential protection to ground troops. During Purdue Aviation Day 2024, the team will dazzle spectators with precision aerial maneuvers while highlighting the mission and professionalism of the outstanding men and women of the United States Air Force.

Purdue Aviation Day invites school groups to embark on an educational journey within the world of aviation in a day of fun-filled exploration. With the goal of making the event accessible to the entire community, we have developed a new and improved bus route to cater to large groups and greatly encourage attendance.
