Colonel Raymond Fowler flies the F-16, Fighting Falcon with the Air National Guard and as a civilian pilot, and a pilot for a major airline he has over 13,000 flying hours.  Ray is actively involved with multiple flying museums.  On any given weekend, he can be found throughout the country flying at airshows in a variety of different types of historic WWII fighter and bomber aircraft.

Col Fowler was called to active duty in January 2003 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  In September 2004, 2006 and 2009, the unit again deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  During these deployments, Col Fowler and his unit was on station above Iraq performing overwatch flights and air support in continuation of our mission to re-build the country and promote democracy.  In 2014, the unit again received a Presidential activation for a 6 month deployment to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.  During this deployment, Ray was task with Close Air Support for US and Afghan Special Forces.  The many accomplishments of his Fighter Wing have received praise and recognition from the highest levels of the U.S. military leadership.

Just a few of the Warbird aircraft that Ray is qualified to fly are: P-51 Mustang, P40, Corsair, FW190, Boeing B-17, B-25, C-47, P38, ME109, and now he can ad the XP-82 to that amazing list. Photos Courtesy Ray Fowler and Fagen Fighters WWII Museum.
